Jesus has walked in our shoes and he understand perfectly how we feel. He has not only been through death, he has been through the fear of death. He has been through all the temptation that we face. He knows what human weaknesses is about. This is Jesus who has triumphed and is now with his Father, praying for us. This gives us confidence as we pray. We are not coming to someone remote and distant, hard and unfeeling; we are coming to someone who knows, understands and has been there. So come with confidence, knowing that you will find all the help that you need, and God graciously makes his power available to you in you weakness, just as it was to Jesus.
